Internet search rant [Feb. 11th, 2007|03:04 pm]
[Current Mood | angry]

So I decided earlier today to go search the internet for other polyamorous people with gay parents. I tried googling for "queerspawn" and "polyamory", as well as "gayby" and "polyamory". I found basically two types of sites, GBLT support sites with mention of both concepts, and anti-gay-marriage sites. I perhaps shouldn't be surprised by this. I know I'm a rarity, especially for my age, but the anti-gay-marriage sites really pissed me off. Between the "gaybys aren't getting raised properly" and the "gay marriage will lead to group marriage, and we all know that's bad" sentiments, I find myself feeling like they are basically telling me that I am the corrupted future of America. Ethical living is very important, and I am always striving to treat the people around me well. Having that effort discounted cause of how I was raised and how I love and my attempts to be honest makes me immensely angry and I don't have any where to direct that angry.

PS. Livejournal spell check doesn't recognize the words polyamorous, polyamory, queerspawn, or gayby. This would probably bother me except for the fact that it also doesn't recognized googling or livejournal.
